Oral Histories - Sue, St Cecilia's

An extract from an oral history recorded with Sue at St Cecilia’s. Subtitles are available. Sue talks about how she started to volunteer, first helping disabled people on holiday then at St Cecilia’s, and then volunteered and worked at St Cecilia’s as a carer. After an injury she continued to volunteer, assisting residents to go out on trips including watching the wrestling at Fairfield Halls and going to the pub. She talks about the Matron Miss Cashman, who became a resident later in life.
