Oral Histories - Thelma, Hydon Hill

An extract from an oral history video recorded with Thelma at Hydon Hill. Subtitles are available. Thelma talks about how she and her husband saw in the local paper that Raphael Godalming was coming and they needed help with painting the buildings. Raphael eventually became Hydon Hill and Thelma has volunteered there ever since. She talks about the different tasks she has done as a volunteer and what she has particularly enjoyed and how now she is a driver. She discusses changes with the fabric of the building and volunteers who she knew, including a lady who organised a paper collection to raise money.
