Leonard Cheshire being interviewed by Tony Wardle for a film

Visit our exhibition to find out more about the history of disability charity Leonard Cheshire and its founder, Second World War RAF Group Captain Leonard Cheshire VC OM.

The exhibition includes the opportunity to listen to newly digitised sound clips from our historic sound collection, saved for the future thanks to National Lottery Players as part of the Leonard Cheshire Archive’s Resonate project.

Clips can be listened to by scanning a QR code on each panel, using the camera on a mobile phone. An exhibition booklet, pop-out phone holder and headphones are available for people to take home if they wish to listen to clips at home.

The Brewhouse Arts Centre is on Union Street in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, postcode DE14 1AA, telephone 01283 508100, twitter @BrewhouseCentre. For more information on how to get to the venue, please see their website.

The exhibition is in the Cafe Bar Gallery on the ground floor and is accessible to wheelchair users. There is pay and display parking outside the venue, and Burton train station is a short walk away. Entry is free of charge.

Our exhibition was cancelled twice due to Covid-19 restrictions, and our thanks go out to all at the Brewhouse for their help getting the exhibition installed, and to our funders the Foyle Foundation and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
