Rewind exhibition at London’s gallery@oxo
Learn more about disability history in the UK by exploring Leonard Cheshire Disability’s archive collection in this multimedia exhibition at the Oxo Tower in London from the 4th October to the 8th October 2017.
The free exhibition will feature films, photographs and stories from the charity’s archive, sharing recollections of disabled people, staff and volunteers involved with the charity from 1948 to the present day. Visitors can also learn about the life of Leonard Cheshire, the charity’s founder.
Pioneering films created by disabled people living at the charity’s residential homes in the 1950s and 1960s will be on display, along with oral history interviews recorded for heritage project Rewind in 2016 and 2017.
