St Cecilia’s

St Cecilia’s Cheshire home was started by parents of a young boy who visited Leonard Cheshire during his convalescence from TB in 1953. St Cecilia’s became the third Cheshire service and was opened by Lady Dorothy Macmillan in 1954.

The Foundation Stone for the first extension to create 30 more beds was laid in 1957, and the extension was completed in the following year.
