On the 8th June 2021, as part of International Archives Week, we held an exhibition webinar to mark the end of our successful Resonate project. Resonate began in 2019 with the aim of digitising our historic sound collection and providing a volunteering and engagement opportunity. When work began, little did we know that a pandemic was on the horizon and it is testament to our volunteers and project team that the project was a success!

Archivist Stephanie and Head of Trusts and Philanthropy Christine presented on the work achieved by everyone and showed a 20 minute exhibition film ‘Leonard’. The film shows the legacy of Group Captain Cheshire and his work using sound and film footage found during the project.

Attendees received an exhibition pack, and the playlist for the Voices from Leonard Cheshire exhibition booklet can be found on YouTube.

This webinar was in place of the planned exhibition at the Brewhouse Arts Centre in Burton upon Trent. It is hoped we will be holding the exhibition in early 2022. Resonate was funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Foyle Foundation.
